Day of Cooking

I spent Saturday in the kitchen making and experimenting with some different foods. Most of the Recipes turned out well. I also made some Pea and Ham soup from bacon bones, but have no pics of these.

Apple Pie - Fresh Apples and Puff Pastry
Rum Balls, which would taste better with either no rum or rum essence.

Naan bread - Made under the grill and topped with garlic and sweet chilli sauce. These are quite fun to make and puff right up while cooking.

Lemon Cheesecakes & Slice

After my brother asking for a cheesecake, I offered to make him one. So came about 2 lemon Cheese Cakes and a Lemon Slice with the left over ingredients.

This is the first cake I made from an old cook book. As you can see, it did not really work. They quantities appeared to be wrong and it did not mix very well. My brother got this one all to himself.

This is the second cheesecake I made. As you can see it turned out much better and is absolutely delicious. Will definitely make this again.

The Lemon Slice I made with lemon icing. Very nice.
